I have strong credentials that you've probably already look at on the "About" page on this website. But the real reason you want me as your coach is that people I work with get results when they are serious about their goals, and willing and ready to take action to make real lifestyle changes.
I used to offer "one-time" sessions with clients, but quite honestly that approach doesn't work, especially for weight loss. It's a waste of time and money. Why? Lifestyle and dietary change is a journey, and it takes time to let go of habits that have kept you from reaching your goals. It also takes time to form new habits that can last a lifetime. Research shows it takes an average of 66 days to develop a new habit - and that's only after you have truly made the decision to change and have the information and support you need to make that change. I want to work with you in a way that will create long-term, lasting results. It's not likely you'll make the progress you desire if we're not engaging on a regular basis. My programs are individualized and every session is different based on where you are on your journey.
Today I work with most of my clients for a minimum of 12 weeks. This is especially important for weight loss. Research shows intense nutrition therapy - especially in the first few months - results in greater weight loss. During this 12-week period, you will receive the nutrition education, tools, strategies, support and encouragement you need to make real lifestyle change to reach your goal. Here's what you get when you work with me for the 12 weeks:
- Help in developing an eating patten you can live with over the long-term. I do not dictate what you can and cannot eat or drink. I do empower you to choose the foods you want to eat - some foods in moderation - so you will be able to reach your goal.
- Nutrition education so you can include nutritious foods in your diet to keep your body healthy, your mind sharp, and your energy level at its peak.
- Education about any medical conditions you may have and specific dietary changes you can make to improve those conditions.
- One-on-one coaching, encouragement & support from an experienced dietitian/nutritionist that gets results
- Personal sessions in the office or via teleconference call with computer screen sharing
- Telephone support
- Email support
As your dietitian and nutritionist, I am 100% committed to work diligently to help you reach your goals.
